Deer Hunting Secrets
Discover The Closely Guarded True Secrets Of Master Deer Hunters.

Since coyotes are known to be conniving and intelligent, hunters must be on top of their game to catch them. Below are a few coyote hunting tips that may prove useful:

The first coyote hunting tip is to eliminate your scent.

For example, use fragrance-free soaps, deodorants, and other toiletries. Coyotes have a sensitive sense of smell and they will avoid you if they can detect your presence.

The next coyote hunting tip is to select the appropriate gun.

The Mini Bolt.22 or the Big Boy Special Edition are the preferred guns for most expert coyote hunters. However, if you prefer another type of gun, it is not a problem.

The third coyote hunting tip is to consider the conditions of your hunt and then, dress accordingly.

Specifically, the camouflage pattern should blend with your conditions. In addition, hide yourself near trees, bushes or brush; therefore, you will decrease the likelihood that you will be detected by the coyote.

Another coyote hunting tip is to lure or call the coyote.

There are products available which will allow you to mimic the call of the coyote. Calls must not be too loud or exaggerated. Coyotes must be given an opportunity to respond to the call. Whether calls are done electronically or by mouth, it is a great way to attract coyotes.

The fifth coyote hunting tip is to remain still.

Movement will scare the coyotes away. By keeping movement to a minimum, you will increase your chances of catching a coyote.

The sixth coyote hunting tip is to use decoys.

Decoys can look like another coyote or they can look like a coyote food source, such as a rabbit, ground squirrel or other small animal. Decoys also serve to detract the attention of the coyote away from the hunter.

The seventh coyote hunting tip involves the use of dogs.

This coyote hunting tip is rather new, but important nonetheless. Each breed has its own characteristics. Some hunters rely on the American Staghound, while others prefer the Plott Hound. Research will help you select the best hunting dog for your needs.

The last coyote hunting tip involves night hunting.

Decreased vision lowers the chances that you will spot a coyote. However, the wind is lower, so there is less opportunity for the coyote to detect you. Be sure and use a light and take a shot only when you are certain of what you are shooting.

The above coyote hunting tips will hopefully help new and experienced hunters succeed in the newest challenge - hunting coyotes. Following the coyote hunting tips will only help you. Disregard any tips that do not fit within your needs and adopt the ones that do. Most importantly, enjoy your time in the great outdoors.
