Casting techniques vary and can be divided into the following: overhand casting, underhand casting and sidearm casting.

  1. For the best momentum, lower your fishing lure so that it is barely below the tip of the rod. Then, cast.
  2. Largemouth bass fishing requires stealth, so try to cast your lure into the water with minimal noise.

  4. Use your wrist when casting.

In addition, largemouth bass fishing is best accomplished by using one of two baits: either a soft bait, such as a tube bait, plastic or rubber worm, grub or jerk bait (soft) or a hard bait, such as crank baits, swimming or jigging spoons, spinners, or vibrating lures.

Typically, largemouth bass are caught and then released. Bass are hardy and can survive after hook injuries. Luckily, their feeding practices and gills are not damaged from the catch and release policy in largemouth bass fishing.
